I was talking to an ordinary, average retired woman yesterday. I would call her a fairly low information voter. The subject of Obamacare came up. She suddenly got very upset and yelled, “The damned Congress made themselves EXEMPT! It’s good enough for us peasants but not good enough for their royal asses!”
If she’s the average voter out there, Dems are in for a rough time.
If amnesty passes, and it will, they can count on millions of illegal aliens to vote rat.
No need to worry about the economy if you are a democrat....the media will talk it up 4 months before the election....every night we will hear how robust and growing the ecomony is and how evil mean spirited republicans will kill the economy because those anarchists tea party will be running things...if they get in power...
All based on the assumption that Obama care is just another issue, like any other, and that it will be out of mind when the elections roll around. DC is a damned bubble of ignorance…...
No doubt the media will do just that. But the citizens know that their neighbor is out of work and if they, too, are unemployed they know that there is very little prospect of them getting a job.
As we well know, a swing in just a few percentage points— (and it would seem to me that 7 percent unemployment represents a significant number of percentage points—can swing an election.
Can you imagine the media calling this dog crap a recovery in the 80s when Reagan actually recovered the economy? This is the slowest so-called “recovery” in American history. Reagan turned around a very much worse situation in about 3 years!!!!! But it was never good enough.
I believe there is no recovery and never was. I think things are getting worse.

The trend I’ve looked at is pretty much an exact parallel to the runup of the great 1929 stock market crash.
When this one goes down it will be much worse.
During the depression the money which no one had was at least worth something, when this one goes down it will be like the German inflation before the war where money will be of no value. In fact it has no value now except it is still accepted for goods.
Not just the monetary aspect will be worse.
People these days just don’t know how to feed themselves without the government and the supermarket.
Feeding yourself requires prior planning.
Most do not think beyond dinner tonight.
When people’s discretionary income is wiped out by zerocare premium increases, the economy will tank.
