Of course they only did this to demean the people of Alabama as hick homophobic racists and to shock them as well as for publicity sake..
They wanted a small town where kids still feel safe going to see the parade.
We were in Montgomery that weekend and saw the evening news recap of the event. One of the “dancers” interviewed was so light in the loafers I expected him to do a Mary Poppins and float up through the air.
This fine group of dancers can certainly expect an invitation
to the Redneck parade in nearby Chumuckla Fl for next year.
Only about an hour drive for the group and I am quite sure their welcome will be heartfelt and enthusiastic.
