I think this conspiracy, and most, are not true.
One of the few conspiracies I think has merit is the one about TWA 800.
By definition all conspiracies are true. By definition it is conspiracy theories that haven't been proven to be true but may some day prove to be true.
Not trying to nit pick, but the word "conspiracy" has been misued at least since about 1963 by the media, and others seem to have gotten in the habit of misusing it too.
Perhaps it's a conspiracy. ;)
