This Coke ad was even more shocking than the beat down suffered by the Tim Tebow-less Denver Broncos in the Super Bowl.

In the end, it is rather bitter-sweet, America being outraged and offended by the Coke ad and Tim Tebow proving that he should have remained as the Broncos QB.

As for Coca-Cola, this may be the end as millions upon millions of Americans will boycott the company.

...that will be in my families bed time prayers tonight although I have my doubts that a boycott will happen. We never have and never will drink Coke. My daughters boyfriend loves the sh** but I will no longer supply it. He’ll drink water when he’s at my house.

Go to wikipedia and type in “list of CocaCola brands”. Would a US boycott of their product hurt them? Yes, to a very small degree. Coca Cola is a World business. US market share is important to them, but it certainly won’t kill the company if it were to fall. If you feel morally and politically that purchasing their product is unacceptable then don’t buy it. Do what you feel is right for you. But Coca cola isn’t going anywhere.

Coca-Cola is much more focused on billions of Asians than millions of Americans. One problem they have in my area (and I suspect nationally) is that many people realize it is unhealthy - it makes you fat and rots your teeth. While I see vending machines selling little bottles for $1.25, I see supermarkets selling 5 2-liter bottles for $5. Young Americans in particular are turning away from soda; Coca-Cola is smart to focus on our less-informed Third Worlders...
