I read the book when it first came out. I thought there was no way that Hollywood could do it justice, but it came damned close.

It was a very moving film. Knowing what these fine men went through is something that far too many of us do not have a clue of. But I am just stating the obvious.

It makes my blood boil that the people that we send to Washington give a ton of lip service to “supporting our troops” yet consistently take actions that are deleterious to their very survival.

We need to keep our troops in the front of our minds when we walk into the polling station, in my humble opinion. Hopefully my daughter and SIL came away with this idea. I believe that they did.

I haven’t read the book yet. When I started to watch the movie I felt like maybe it wasn’t going to be something I would like, at first. I have to say that as the movie progressed I was just sucked into it.

I am with you 100% regarding our troops.
