What was Bill supposed to ask? Something like “Mr. President, how do you maintain your grace and composure in the face of the scurrilous innuendo coming from Fox News? It is bad enough that the Republicans in congress, at the direction of Rush Limbaugh and the extremist fringe tea baggers, are standing in the way of the transformation of this country into a socialist utopia, yet here you are exuding warmth and hope.”
Yet he told O’Reilly he never said the words “fundamentally transform.” Problem is we know that but a lot of Americans might not remember the quote. Unless O’Reilly was prepared to shout out “You lie!” he just kept hitting a dead end with his questions.
