Anyone really belive this? I mean, really?
As far as I’m concerned, this is literally an announcement that Switzerland has technology that no longer requires intercepter fighter jets to keep them safe.
And if they have it, everyone has it - including the US, of course.
And if you believe that’s too over the top Star Wars, then you just go back to your regular programming and let yourself believe all those international banks and bankers were actually totally unprotected, know they are unprotected, and are just fine with that.
I also figure that their view is that a hijacking not a matter of national security. A lot of people in danger to be sure, but more a police matter than an existential threat to the country, so they don’t bother breaking out the military jets.
Just a different view from the US’s wanton militarization of response to everything down to growing the wrong kind of plant.
