If he dropped them off at the airport and turned around and drove away, it might indicate that not all was sweetness and light on the island.

Huh??? I thought I read one of the reports where they did some sightseeing, so I don't remember any animosity.

If you've spent all day with co-workers, successfully resolved all the issues which needed discussing, then brought them to the airport, why would you not just say your goodbyes and head on home? It's not like it's your daughter flying off on a vacation where you wave her off into the air.

You do not know what the issues were, let alone if the issues were resolved ‘successfully’ so spare me the lecture about daughters and vacations...

We were discussing the fact that no one knows who delivered Fuddy or Yamamoto to the airport. Maybe there was a bus from the township to the airport. A bus might be what was needed to get nine people from the town to the airport. Maybe Miller was a passenger on the bus, and the BUS dropped them off and drove away...?

Miller doesn’t say how he happened to be standing on the shore watching the rescue. Maybe it’s because he wasn’t asked?

Maybe someone shoved a potato up the exhaust. JOKING!
