In practice, this represents an ultimatum. Either the Paleos recognize Israel, or Israel must discontinue recognizing any Paleo legitimacy.

What's at issue here is not recognizing Israel, something that apparently already happened.

It's recognizing Israel as a Jewish state, something that neither Egypt nor Jordan was required to do to make peace.

Indeed, it's not entirely clear whether the US recognizes Israel as a Jewish (or the Jewish) state.

Israel has offered a one state solution in which so-called Palestinians become citizens of Israel. How is this a requirement that Israel insists it be recognized as a Jewish state? This is just more double talk by deceivers and their useful idiots.
