Tom is very well informed and has terrific contacts in our military.

But he’s just plain wrong here.

No chance Flight 370 crossed India without detection.

Our radar at Diego Garcia covers well north of the southern tip of India, we would have spotted it.

No chance Flight 370 enters Pakistan’s air space without an intercept, especially from the east, India, that Pakistan is so paranoid about.

We monitor Pakistan’s air space and air traffic communications, we would know.

Israel is taking advantage of Flight 370 to draw attention to themselves.

I think his point was we did see it and do know. I am getting the feeling that some are not happy with our response. This release helps turn the stove up a bit on the appointees in the meetings at CIA and DOD, LOL.

I believe that's the point he was making. It had been tracked. He also said there will be a statement made within 48 hours? I know that really sounds sensational, but I don't know why he would make all that up if he did.

That all assumes they didn’t have help.

I don’t know if it is possible, but what if they reprogrammed the transponder to squawk as a different aircraft that was expected on a faked flight path? Could MH370 have become some sort of cargo aircraft headed to a Pakistani military field?

Honestly, this is uninformed speculation like so much else, but if you are trying to steal an aircraft, you would need somewhere to go with it. At least some parts of the ISI have a long history of working with terrorists. You would need a couple high-ranking people to get a faked flight plan and this new flight comes in without anyone really noticing.
