Just as misguided state lawmakers ratified the ill-conceived 16th Amendment in 1913 to give general voters the power to vote for federal Senator, the Progressive Movement is now trying to get rid of the electoral college.

This is because, as a consequence of parents not making sure that their children are being taught about the federal government's constitutionally limited powers, corrupt Congress is getting away with usurping 10th Amendment protected state powers and essentially stealing state revenues associated with those powers in the form of constitutionally indefensible federal taxes.

In fact, Justice John Marshall had officially clarified that Congress is prohibited from laying taxes in the name of state power issues, essentially any issue which Congress cannot justify under its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers.

“Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States.” —Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.

So what corrupt federal politicians are actually doing is following the tsunami of illegal federal taxes to DC imo.

Mea Culpa!

I refered to the 16th Amendment in post 3 when I meant the 17th Amendment.
