“Plus, Jefferson would be horrified by our overseas meddling.”

I am not so certain of that. He started the first undeclared war, against Muslim pirates in North Africa.

We are about to wake up to the realization the entire nation is a prison camp.

Thank you for putting all that together.

Republic's Slide toward Civil War Continues.. civil war is more accurate than revolution IMO.

I have posted comments by Lincoln as the Nation approached civil war over many reasons with slavery vs. free states one of them.

It is so easy to just change Abe's remarks to statism vs. Freedom and apply it to today. What will be the nature of our crisis that must the reached and passed before we can fix the problem of two Americas? I wonder.

He started the first undeclared war, against Muslim pirates in North Africa.

I was just reading a letter of his the other day, written after his term, where he was agonizing over that. He eventually came to the conclusion he did the right thing, even though not authorized specifically by the Constitution. Here's the difference: Jefferson struggled with the Constitutionality of his actions. Now, presidents say, "I'll do what I want, and let the Supremes sort out the Constitutionality." It's a difference of intent.

We all should be reading more of the Founders works these days. So many of them are so easily available for free, yet Americans are mostly ignorant of what the Founders wrote.

RE your #22: doesn’t it just make you sick to endure the TSA at the airport, and think about the sacrifices of the Founders to bring us freedom. It was indeed a Republic, Ben Franklin, but I don’t think we’ve kept it very well.

Rest assured the Feds have identified every vehicle from which a gun has emerged, and every person who retrieved one. They know where that person lives and everyone they are acquainted with.

You're welcome. Thanks for reading.

I am a whole lot more critical of Lincoln than I used to be, but then, most of the tyranny resulting from the Civil War came in Reconstruction, after he had been assassinated. Still, I think the Union victory tempted Abe--and he gave in-- to big government.

Re you #27: I think the lesson of Bundy Ranch for Obongo is that martial law isn’t going to be the cakewalk he imagined it would be. I’m encouraged by that. We all should be.

Yeh me too but freedom ain’t free. If the Ukranians want freedom them they will fight for it.

Right now all I am concerned with is restoring the Constitutional Republic and thats going to be a full time job for all Americans.

Your #26: our own FRiend and author Matt Bracken mentions this in his book Enemies Foreign and Domestic. One of his characters calls it "FEDLIST.ZIP". I guarantee that one exists even now.

Indeed, restoring Constitutional order will be a full-time job. Luckily, it appears Americans are willing to fight. For awhile, there was some doubt about that. Bundy Ranch dispelled that.

The same federal government that can't put together a web site for almost a billion dollars? That can't stop multi-billion dollar marijuana grow operations in the nations national parks? The one that has students rebelling against their school lunches? That federal government?

Careful you don't give them too much credit, or let them have space in your head rent-free.

It’s time to choose sides. Ask yourself what side you are on.

That's easy. I have sworn an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. In fact, that was required for my job and several times periodically since that initial oath.

It took us a century to get where we are under “progressivism”.

It would be a worthwhile task to reverse it over the next century.

There were more than a few who having armored vehicles running up and down their streets and having cops with sniper rifles and machine guns going door to door made them feel 'safe'.

The idea of that doesn't make me feel safe. Makes me think of 1930s Germany.

I feel safe with a loaded weapon on my person or within arms reach.

Agree with your #33, but actually, patriots who want to return to Constitutional order need the federals to be incompetent, just like the examples you gave show. I think Bundy Ranch shows them to be incompetent, too.

The best way to defeat unConstitutional forces is not by direct military action, but by defeating their will to tyrannical action. If they are incompetent, and we show competence and restraint per Bundy Ranch, that saps their will.

Per your #34, thank you for your service and the faithfulness of your oath. Though I have never served in the military or held office, I myself have sworn to protect and defend the Constitution as well. All American patriots should.
