These people live in an alternate reality. Michelle is the first lady and has no business telling people what to eat. Sadly, the recent research I’ve read indicates carbs of any kind are what is making us fat. Michelle is pushing all of this whole grain stuff which will only make us fatter.
Grain was for fattening the livestock (who had the teeth for it), so they were more tender for humans to eat (who really didn't have the grinders for a continual diet of whole grain).
Of course, it dawns on me that only potatoes of color qualify for WIC, just not the white ones.

If you want a very healthy diet that will maintain a healthy diet and body weight, then stick with beef, chicken and fish for meats. Root vegetables and fruits. Avoid dairy and the such. Of course this style of eating is hard because it takes more time to prepare.
