This "North American Union" is a complete and utter fantasy. It is not going to go over in Canada in any way shape or form.

In the unlikely event the USA breaks up, Canada would take, at most, five border states. Alaska, Montana, Idaho, North Dakota and Maine. The rest are too liberal or too "urban" or both.

The biggest fear in Canada is that erasing the border would turn Canadian cities into what US cities have become.

Canadians like living in a country that has border controls and does not border the third world.
