What really pisses me off about the state of the country is only 57.5% of the population turns out to vote. The actual number is most probably lower if you remove the dead and multiple votes. I know I am preaching to the choir on this forum but what the heck is wrong with people?
I agree. Most of the country doesn’t have a clue. Combine that with a propaganda main stream media machine which controls the entertainment content. Doesn’t bode well, but there is hope that a majority of people will start to see through what is really happening.
The perpetual class who do not pay taxes but vote themselves benefits, is a real drag on democracy.
A recent poll stated that 57% of Americans thought that taxes were too high. Closer analysis probably would have revealed that among taxpayers, almost all would say that taxes were too high. People who don’t pay taxes at all are certainly not bothered by high taxes.
