What this is headed towards is procreation. The state wants to control procreation.

If by controlling procreation you mean enforced abortion, I think you're spot on. All governments grow and accumulate power. What greater power can their be than the power over the life and death of your subjects. The State, having destroyed religion and religious beliefs, wants to become God.

This is not about marriage -- it's not about homosexual "marriage"; it's not about incestual "marriage"; it's not about any kind of "marriage" as "marriage" is redefined with each passing week and with each new judicial edict.

Government control over procreation besides enforced abortion would include enforced birth control of those who fail the government test (like driving certifications) DNA testing, sterilization of those deemed unfit, population control, and eventually, having it all done in a test tube. They read the book Brave New World and thought it was cool. Soma for all!
