During my ill-spent youth, I'd 'had occasion to visit with the police' a few times and I knew guys my age (then) that were badder'n me, and IIRC, armed robbery was like 10 years or so and other crimes beside murder were relatively short sentences.
I guess my comment was a mixture of what I think I remember and confusion of what is.
I wasn't trying to take the kids side ... just commenting.
