In 1500 BC, there were no immigration laws. The Israelites were invited into Egypt. They did not invade. When they did invade Canaan, they had to fight.

I’m all for helping the poor...in their own country. I support LEGAL immigration, although I wish we would write our laws to take in people who would help America instead of being a burden. My wife is a LEGAL immigrant from the Philippines.

What I oppose is an invasion of foreigners with different ideals and political beliefs flooding in from Mexico across the southern border. I object to the idea that people who wish to immigrate to the US legally have to wait their turn, UNLESS they come from Mexico or Central America. I object to having a flood of people entering illegally and trying to change our culture into one of never-ending entitlement to my money instead of supporting themselves.

I do, however, donate food, money and clothing to orphanages in northern Mexico...

Do you have a way of confirming those donations go there vs being diverted by drug cartels or corrupt local officials?

I've just come up with the solution for our border crisis...

First, we need to stop the Mexican Army's incursions into our country. When they fire upon border agents we need to respond with a few A-10s. Attacking our people must be seen as an “Act of Suicide.”

Next, we need to claim and control a portion of Mexico, adjacent to our border, roughly 100 square miles in size. On this land we should build a facility to assist and aid migrants. We can start with standard portable military shelters and eventually build permanent structures.

Invite US and international NGOs (doctors without borders, Red Cross, Samaritan's Purse, etc...) to participate in care and comfort of those in need.

Set up a center to evaluate the situation of the migrants to determine whether they should continue on into the US or if it would be better to direct them to another location.

Results, everybody wins!
