He lacks the commons-sense urgency of Ted Cruz, who seems far more attached to the current reality
I agree. Cruz should be an easy candidate for conservatives to coalesce around; he’s very smart and committed to our ideals. He’s not bitten by the crank theories that abound and spin up some who cannot discern, for example, that Putin is a statist who uses a couple of conservative views for demagogic reasons only.
