Poor little German pilots with your GPS and doppler radar, autopilots, redundant avionics, jet engines, and pressurized, climate-controlled cabins. And something might go "boom" a mile or two from the runway! Flying can be so scary these days!

You would be the first one to barf if the Captain flew close to a thunderstorm. Flying is a cruel mistress laddie. She rarely allows you one mistake. The pilots are thinking not only of themselves but also the 300 or more souls entrusted to their care who have no say so about what happens between take off and landing. 30000 accident free hours speaking here sonny and proud of it.

Bull. I care about my passengers too. I am an A320 captain at the world’s largest airline. This is pure politics. My airline was back in LLBG the moment the ban was lifted, and our pilot union fully supported the return.

Danger is in the eye of the beholder. Israel has gone to war to wipe out the rocket launches. Seems some are more dangerous than others.
