We have an abundance of politicians and a dearth of rights.

It’s not ‘silly’ it’s dangerous.

Was Hinckley a resident of DC? If not, then how would DC gun laws have stopped him from shooting Reagan?

2. Politicians are so much more important than other citizens, that no sacrifice on the part of the people is too much, if it makes the politicians feel a little safer. This is exactly the attitude all of our overlords have. This is the mindset that immediately banned Ronny Barrett's .50 cal rifle in Cali even though it has never been used in a crime.

Hear, hear! They should be worried about the quality of our lives and the security of our rights, not the reverse.

There are plenty of people out there thinking that more restrictive gun laws are the way to go. Why don’t we just get some of them to work for low wages instead of paying some of these “deep thinkers” we’ve already got on the payroll & are drawing big wages?
