Mark Mulholland, a reporter from NewsChannel 13 and camera man Matt Soriano were threatened with arrest by a corrections lieutenant on Thursday, July 24, simply for having an empty prison inadvertently in the background of a report.

Mulholland was on the grounds working on a story about Grant’s Cottage- the site where President Ulysses S. Grant died- for the 129th anniversary of Grant’s death. The cottage happens to be on the grounds of the now closed prison, which had already been empty for three months.

Schumer. Supposedly the real Senate majority leader, but considered too obnoxious for America's heartland so Harry Reid became the caucus' face.

Must be pretty obnoxious.

No, really, I definitely feel for you. New York State has endured so much having the city wagging its dog, Up State does not deserve Schumer. I've often wondered what the demographic make-up of NY would be if NYC were to become its own State in the Union. There's an argument from Madison's notes where such an idea actually makes sense.

The actions of the correctional officers have me thinking someone is actually being housed at the site, "officially denied."

Not bad for a man who was a clerk in his Father’s store when the Civil War began.

In fairness though, he attended West Point starting in 1843, and after graduation, served in the US Army, fighting in the Mexican-American War, until 1854 when he resigned his commission.

Another fact is that after he left the military, he ran a relative’s farm using slaves, and later owned a slave given to him by his father-in-law, who he freed in 1859.

Also, Ulysses S. Grant wasn’t his real name.

Where he was a leader in demerits, and finished in the bottom half of his class.

... and after graduation, served in the US Army, fighting in the Mexican-American War, until 1854 when he resigned his commission.

He was a quartermaster, but he did have one daring mission on a horse. He was known as the best horseman in the army.

Also, Ulysses S. Grant wasn’t his real name.

His original initials were HUG.
