One bit of trivia about Operation Halyard: It involved the heaviest documented American paratrooper to have jumped during WWII. Lt. George Musulin had been a football player at the University of Pittsburgh and professionally in St. Louis and Chicago before joining the OSS.

At around 250 lbs. he was the heaviest soldier parachuted by American forces during the war:
