It’s the kind of headline you read, identify as an attempt at humor, and in the back of your mind say “please, let it be true”.
I've been ambivalent about doing it and have curtailed my propensity for such an approach because if you have a certain sense of humor, attitude you end up enjoying the letdown of expectations or suspension of belief if it is done right but no matter how outrageous it can be, I will still have those who believe I am serious and end up greatly embarrassing them so I stopped doing it. The funniest example is the time I included this image below captioning it as one of six new flying aircraft carriers the Chinese have recently launched and this guy swallowed it hook, line and sinker and went berserk over it. I really felt bad about it. But once in a while I'll do it in a less intense manner.
