If accurate, then the only reason is because they are concerned about the backlash from rightfully and morally outraged true Americans.
Muslims protesting against ISIS probably wouldn’t get any backlash at all from most Americans. The only backlash that I’d expect would come from the Hamas-loving, anti-Israel leftists.
