“The cop only knows what he deals with every day.”

True enough, but therein lies the problem. The cops have to deal with feral black kids every single day committing God only knows what kind of violent and anti-social acts. It’s only natural and completely human that at a certain point, opinions would calcify and muscle memory would take over. Remove the wildly criminal behavior of a shockingly small subset of society and, voila, problem solved. The cops wouldn’t feel the need to profile or rush to judgement because they wouldn’t have the template in their heads.
