All mothers of teens worry about the kids making it to their 18th birthday.
And beyond their eighteenth birthdays, and their twenty-fourth birthdays and their fortieth birthdays. My oldest is going on 49, and I still worry about her because she lives in DC.
But she isn’t going to ignore a cop telling her to pull over, or stand still, or whatever a cop might ever tell her to do, because she won’t ever have anything to hide.
You see Kathleen, law abiding citizens who are respectful towards cops rarely have anything to worry about. And yes, black America needs to listen to that.
