Sept. 9th, 1683.. is also a bad day,for Mad-Mo..the Siege/Battle of Vienna; was begun/fought on that date.
It was the beginning of the end of Islamic influence in ME/Europe.
That may have been the reason, why the terrorists picked that date, resumption of the war on Christianity/West civilization.

It’s not clear to me: is the 9th of Av, 9/11? No, it's not. It's a Jewish day of mourning called Tisha B'Av (9th of Av) which is much worse than 9/11. For perspective.
