Personally want a win very badly, but over confidence leads to mistakes.

The Democrat Party is loaded with strategists, and everything they do, every move they make is a calculated move. They own the press, and can manipulate the news, thus the reaction to the news at will.

I’m just sayin’ let’s NOT get over confident. Let’s keep pushing for our guys. No coasting on news which is probably fabricated by the Leftist controlled media that we have this one in the bag.

Let’s NOT think we have this one in the bag.

I hear ya. I hope Ted Cruz is everywhere in the two weeks up until election day. I hope he pays special attention to districts whose schools are forced to take this summer’s crop of illegal kids in, where common core is boiling parents’ blood, where health premiums have become unaffordable, and so on.

Anyone know if there is way to have a veto proof senate for the R’s?

Of course not but there are an amazing number of morons here who seem dead set on destroying the GOP when the only alternative is the fully fascistic democrats.

If the IRS was not impeding the Tea Party I think the result of two years ago may have been different.

I don’t expect a wave. More of a ripple.

I expect the republicans to retain a house majority, with maybe a few net pickups. I’m not so sure about the Senate. If the republicans do get control, they won’t have a functional majority to really move anything, won’t be able override a veto, so we’ll just have more of the same. (remember when the republicans controlled EVERYTHING but without 60 votes, one senator - Tom Daschle; could literally stop everything cold)

I expect it will be a VERY LOW turnout election. I believe the people have generally lost confidence in ALL of them. You can see it here on FR, and virtually everywhere else. There might be a small handful of congressmen/senators that I truly like, but they get undermined at every turn by the republican leadership.

Yup, THE MOST important issue here is voting. We have to do all we can to get voters off their butts, and into the voting booth voting Republican. For some it’s a rock, and a hard spot position, but it’s what must be done.

We need not only Ted Cruz out there pounding the pavement, but everyone who wants the United States of America to be just that.

Election night, 2010, hearing Wolfie Blitzer on CNN say “it is a shellacking!” was like music to my ears.

I hope we hear a repeat on election night 2014.

To see Harry Reid lost the Senate will be as gratifying as Pelosi losing the speakership.

Deadlines for registering to vote are nearing, the GOTV needs to be happening now.

All people - repubs, indies, democrats - are facing daily pain brought on them by the RATS at work, with their schools, disposable income etc that they didn’t have two years ago.

Assure them you WILL remove these problems plaguing them, and they’ll get out and vote. I wish the Kochs would rent billboards nationwide painted with MAKE SURE YOUR VOTER REGISTRATION IS CURRENT.

Yeah, this isn’t about a single bad candidate. You couldn’t pay me to vote for Scott Brown in MA but fortunately I’m not faced with that choice. This is about a wider strategy of winning the senate to make guys like Ted Cruz more powerful.

Lord knows my governor is a long way from conservative but he’s light years better than his democrat opponent who will make us long for the good old days of Jenny Granholm.

As far as Terri Land (to replace Karl Levin) is concerned, she has an establishment pedigree but is saying the right things on conservative issues like opposing amnesty, supporting energy production, and encouraging American jobs.

No we have GOPE engineered liberals running in place of the perennial mushy moderate aka liberal presidential candidate they insist upon this time around. I don’t see a wave the GOPE killed that. I do think the Republicans will take the senate but with so many leftist in the Party that doesn’t mean much except who divvies up the taxpayer $$$.

Abortion Barbie is really putting out some nasty lying attacks against Greg Abbott. He has yet to do likewise.
He needs to get on the ball against this skank.

For all freepers who were worried that Michelle Nunn would get the GA senate seat the most recent poll shows David Perdue ahead by 6 points. GA will stay safely in the red.

Ditto. This election cycle doesn't have the energy of 2010, which transpired with the hope of blunting Obama's agenda. This year seems to center around a general disgust with everyone in office. I think the House will remain pretty much as it is, and the Repubs will net a +3 or +4 in the Senate. With Pat Roberts now in trouble and the Georgia race only slightly favoring the Repub there, that number could shake out to be as low as +2. I don't see a scenario beyond +4, though.

When the GOP & RNC get their folk elected in the primaries, it's a good bet you & I wind up voting for them when we vote straight party ticket.

Your’s seems like a reasonable assessment.

The media will spin it to be a big republican defeat, but I think that would be justified. In this political climate, they should destroy them in the Senate, eclipsing the 60 vote threshold while easily holding their own in the House.

They failed to nationalize the campaign at all. They could have EASILY done it with 0bamacare and the migrant invasion of our country, but instead, we hear crickets on those fronts.... They’re just playing a ‘prevent defense’, and hoping for the best. That don’t get it done.

As is so often said, you can never underestimate the GOPe’s ability to screw everything up, and it looks like they’re about to. There might still be a little time to salvage this debacle, if they start...NOW. (stupid bastards)
