You’re not the only one who understands that. Arab Christians have little reason to love the nation of Israel. Cruz is not ready for prime-time if he makes remarks that he should have know would alienate his audience. He’s a very smart guy; I’m surprised he messed up like this.

There are a lot of our fellow Freepers who don’t see the reality of the ME mess. Few love Israel as we Americans do. I’ve been to Muslim countries and have Lebanese Christian friends. Life there is hellish because of the Mohammedans. And for many Christians, Israel has not helped matters.
I’m a Cruz fan too (not for POTUS, however). He’s brilliant, but not on his best that night. The article that was posted was very biased against him, especially the title. But Cruz did walk into it.
