1. The graphic artist recruit is wearing eye makeup. Subtle... but it’s there.
2. The U.S. Army should not be recruiting graphic artists — homosexual, heterosexual or otherwise. The U.S. Army should not be depicted as a mere alternative to “expensive art school.”
3. Yes, this is a pitiful message. And there’s no question it targets men who (even if heterosexual) probably shouldn’t be in the U.S. Army.
And of course nobody has to carry a rifle, let alone fire it at the bad guys, or scrub the latrine, or pull KP. The Navy and Air Force do the same thing — every EM is sitting at a computer in an air conditioned space, far from the real action. Only the Marines and the Special Forces have maintained a warrior ethos...and even the Marines are going wobbly under the persistent attacks of HOTUS and his minions.
