"Yet the likes of Nancy Piglosi," Not to my knowledge. "Cardinal Burke: Nancy Pelosi must be denied Communion LOUISVILLE, KY, Sept. 20, 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com) - In a wide-ranging interview, Cardinal Raymond Burke has issued an emphatic call for pro-abortion Catholic politicians like House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi to be denied Communion. The cardinal also spoke about the rapid advance of the homosexual agenda, the decline in catechesis that, he says, has crippled the Churchs response to pressing moral issues of the day, and the growing danger of Christian persecution under an increasingly totalitarian government. The cardinal, who heads the Vaticans Apostolic Signatura and is Americas most senior prelate, made the comments in an interview published earlier this month by The Catholic Servant, a Minneapolis-based newspaper, and republished by The Wanderer. Asked about Pelosi, he said, Certainly this is a case when Canon 915 must be applied. http://www.lifesitenews.com/news/cardinal-burke-nancy-pelosi-must-be-denied-communion

It was only months ago that Pelosi and Biden were taking communion at the Vatican.

The only archbishop in the U.S., AFAIK, who agrees with Burke is Samuel Aquila of Denver. All the other archbishops and all the cardinals give Communion to pro-aborts. The official policy of the USCCB is that a bishop may “legitimately” give Communion to pro-aborts.
Of course, giving Communion to pro-aborts is a mortal sin, but we know that bishops are not bound by the moral law.
