“Do the airline owners have a right to fly these people all over the world on their planes when doing so could spread the disease all over the earth?”
Disease spread from continent to continent long before the advent of aviation and while we could cease flights from W. Africa to the US for a short amount of time, we cannot cease flights from Europe, Asia, Australia and South America as that would devastate our economy.
Stopping flights from W. Africa would only be symbolic and not effective as people can transit from Liberia to Europe and then hop a flight to the US.
Okay so we can’t stop the flights. (I’m sure they could find a way if they wanted to though-no fly list comes to mind)
Do we quarantine new arrivals or just turn them loose and pray it will all be okay?
Disease was spread by travel it was just spread a lot slower then than it is being spread now
