You make a profound statement with;
" I feel tremendously blessed and indebted to the men who died and gave that right to me - first off to my Savior whose death gave me eternal freedom and secondly to the patriots who have sacrificed to protect the God-given earthly freedoms I so cherish."
The part of eternal freedom is something I never put into those words before and yet ... it's true.
Born again Aug 15, 1981, and Oh Boy, Have I experienced freedom !!
And THAT thought led me to think ...
THAT'S the problem in America !
Not only is God relegated to some dusty book and mantra chanting (prayer) fanatics, but the very heart of God .. His love for His creation and desire to fellowship with us .. has all but disappeared from the American identity.
THAT'S why holder got away with calling us cowards ...
We no longer carry the identity of salvation and a saved, born again people ... and with THAT loss ...
WE ARE ENSLAVED TO THE EVIL ONE.
Jesus' freedom is indeed eternal, and the blessing of that freedom here in this life gives us courage that we cannot have without it.
Thanx, BD.

Well-said.
