I wonder how many millions we’ll admit in order to prove we’re not racists.

If I don’t even care about Ebola in America, what does that make me?
News stories about Ebola have been cut in half, already. It sold a lot of papers and a lot of website hits, and a lot of advertising, but I’m thinking this manufactured ‘crisis’ has passed. Three dead, millions panicked. Lots of HazMat items sold.
Now...on to the next crisis!
Cynical, Much? Oh, You Betcha! :)

Maybe some Americans are tired of their taxpayer dollars being sent to third world countries and seeing it go right into the pockets of disgusting murdering dicktators. One can only be fed videos of starving children and and people in abject poverty for so long before they get tired of a never ending siphon with no positive results.

Card carryin’ racists at that.
You betcha.

I don't care about Ebola in Africa because there is nothing I can do about it. I have my charities, and foreign aid isn't one of them. The government will do or not do whatever it wants, regardless of what I might think, so "caring" about it is a self-absorbed waste of time.

Said the same thing regarding AIDS ....

Americans don’t care, huh? All the billions in aid sent, all the aid groups, all the missionaries.
We don’t care because we don’t want a rapidly fatal virus regarded as a bioweapon to be introduced into our country? These people are suicidal and they’re going to take us down with them.
To: pallis
We wouldn’t care if it was in Russia, Germany, ot Italy. Americans only care about TV and welfare.

Earlier this year/last year it was bird flu, SARS and MRSA.
It’s just by the Grace of God that our open borders haven’t already given us a health disaster. It’s Russian roulette.

Dear John,
Who made up the stories resulting the DDT ban, after they figured out it was saving MILLIONS in third world from death by malaria?
Who is depriving Africa from meaningful energy development out of fear of population growth?
Who is imposing eugenicist population control policies as a condition of foreign aid?
Yes, John....a bunch of racist liberals.

Ok Mr.CNN columnist, time to pony-up and prove you’re not a racist. Stop demanding it of everyone else.
There is but one way to prove your worth..fly over there, contract the disease, and only then you’ll be down for the struggle.
