The "frogstick" is the ceremonial mace. It symbolizes the authority that Parliament derives from the Queen. When the House of Commons or Senate meets, the Sergeant-at-arms enters with the mace and places it on the clerks' table, and removes it when the House is adjourned.
I've no idea how heavy that particular mace is, but it certainly looks like it's bristling over with awesome in case anyone ever used it to defend Parliament against Muslim gunmen.

I don't know. I didn't read or hear the comment, so I can only assume someone was being facetious or couldn't think of its proper name.

I can’t look back at medieval Europe and say that bad things didn’t happen in the name of Christianity. But, nobody is being burned at the stake today by Christians. Inquisitions are not going on today.
Whereas killings in the name of Islam are happening. And liberals won’t address that fact.
