Now that most of the houses are gone, somebody smart needs to buy up the entire block at pennies on the dollar and make a nice two-acre country estate out of it. Plant a hedge of trees around the whole thing, backed up with an electrified fence. Build a nice garden, a chicken shed and a fortified lookout tower in the center.
This had occurred to me, and it might almost be worth trying; the main hitch as I see it is being able to have firearms on the property. If you can overcome that lib-created obstacle, you might just have something.
You’d have to budget for particularly high contractor costs for your building, though. All the laborers would need to collect combat pay while on the job site.
Except you’d still living under the same city, county and state governments that destroyed it in the first place.
