I know something about Arizona politics, and the only office I refused to vote on yesterday was CD-2. I wouldn’t vote for the Democrat, but neither would I vote for McSally.
She was/is the most liberal of the Republicans running for Congress in Arizona. She was/is weak on illegal immigration. She avoids any talk of social issues. If she wins, she is likely to be the GOP-E’s candidate to ram down our throats every chance possible. Heck, she had her marriage civilly annulled in Arizona - something I didn’t even know was possible. That meant her marriage was held to have never been valid to begin with - and how does one do that? Check out the law and get back with me.
I also loathed her when she was in the military. Her behavior in Saudi Arabia, complaining about discrimination when she was being given special treatment already, disgusted me. So did her going to the SecDef with the backing of Congresswomen - an act that would have gotten me canned. And I spent a LOT more time in the ME than she did!
I won’t cut my wrists if she pulls out a victory, but I sure am not praying for her to win. Barber won’t be able to do any harm in the very Republican House, and we’d have a better chance of getting rid of him next time.
Oh...and I remember how the GOP-E acted when conservatives won the primary. They came out with the knives and attacked the conservatives. I largely remained silent on McSally, but I won’t shed any tears if she loses.
I don’t care if she used to date Obama, I voted for her because I will never vote democrat.
