Obama's Executive Amnesty Could Affect 1.6 Million in California

President Barack Obama's executive amnesty could provide legal status to 1.6 million people living in California, according to new estimates.

Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC) noted Thursday that President Obama's announcement coincides with Mexico’s Mexican Revolution and Civil War Day, comparing the day to America’s 4th of July. “Obama is making a powerful and dangerous symbolic declaration to large Spanish media audiences today comparing his new immigration orders to the violent Mexican revolution and civil war!" ALIPAC President William Gheen said.

A statement from ALIPAC also noted that Spanish language media corporation Univision will carry Obama's speech “in the USA, Central and South America, and around the Globe.”

Also Thursday, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced provision of Temporary Protected Status and work eligibility to nationals of Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea due to the Ebola crisis. Applicants must be “continuously residing” in the United States since Nov. 20, 2014 and “continuously physically present in” the United States since Nov. 21, 2014,” according to a November 20 USCIS release.

What constitutes a ‘clean record?’ What happens to those who don’t have a ‘clean record?’

It anyone thinks there will really be any type of screening, I have a bridge to sell them.

“Fraud documents, in a heartbeat””

Years ago working in CA and trying to E-Verify applicants for jobs was a lost cause. No wonder employers gave up on it. You couldn’t even get past the birthdate as illegals gave the wrong date and you were stymied at that point.

Additionally, if they somehow got through the system, they thought nothing of using a friend’s SS number with THEIR earnings being credited to the SS number of their friend. Good for the friend; not so good for the person who saw the deductions coming from a REAL paycheck and receiving no credit for the wages earned.

Not quite sure what you mean.

Maybe the republicans, instead of raging, should just say ‘Thats nice, but the law didn’t change’. Every time he issues one of his executive orders, same reply.

Anyway, it is up to our house and senate. Let’s give them a chance. My hope is that our side lets them know that ‘registration comes before confiscation...I mean deportation’ - just like guns.

‘We are glad that millions will come out of the shadows and register their names, address, and will be given a tax id’.

And watch the lines not form.

We have lots of options. Lets not rage...no hurry.

No one is raging. There aren’t any “haters” nor is anyone frightened as the current meme indicates.

Your eminently rational viewpoint fails in the face of what is reality. There will be no border enforcement nor are the numbers correct. The system is going to be overwhelmed.

Past is prologue.

Lets talk about ‘reality’.

Obama can’t change the law. That is reality. He can talk about his wishes, but he changed nothing. He can promise illegals that the federales will not deport for 2 years, and direct federal agencies to ignore the law. But he can’t make them legal, can’t make them citizens, can’t make them voters - all things he wants to do.

So what is his game? He wants to appear in charge, voice of reason, all that? I think all he can hope for is knee-jerk reactions from ‘the other side’, and sell himself and his plan as ‘reasonable’. He can’t fund it, he can’t do squat.

I say we settle down and treat him as the petulant president he is. He will grow more and more mad, make more and more exec orders, and accomplish nothing. His messes will continue to get bigger, no doubt about it. It will hurt, but we will survive. May not seem like it at times, but we will.

If republicans just slow down, take a breath, and give measured responses. Present actual legislation that is well thought-thru and keep the public up-to-date on what it is doing and proposing - just be the complete opposite of what the democrats did with healthcare.
