The trouble with placing too much confidence in “star” college players, is that most of their opponents are future accountants, salesmen and consultants. Of the thousands who play top college athletics, only a few are good enough to make a living at it. It’s got to be a tough hurdle when suddenly all of the opposing players are former college standouts instead of athletic students.

Exactly, in college, a QB faces at most, maybe 2 NFL-quality players on the defensive side of the ball, that makes for a much, much larger margin of error, than in the NFL.
