Why can't we coalesce and stop being so darned rudderless and at each other's throats all the time?

Because real politics is messy and impolite, unless the fix is in.

Don't expect nice. You won't get it.

I've worked hard here to get liberal republicans fired and get conservatives elected. It works. It takes a lot of door-knocking and phone calls.

Not happy, but prayer is the answer not complaining. Did you know the reason the Israelites had to wander 40 yrs in the desert and didn’t get to go into the Promise Land, but their children did? Murmering and Complaining.

So praise, prayer, and thankfulness will move mountains. Whining and complaining will only make things worse.

Stupid question. The real question should be, “why would anyone vote for a Boehner/McConnell-backed candidate in a primary.” 3rd-party candidates lose, and they siphon votes from the most conservative, electable candidate. If you can’t win in a GOP primary, you sure as hell can’t win in a general election. I could certainly even imagine voting against an establishment Republican candidate in a general election when the choice is between an old Democrat and a young RINO. But voting against someone like Tim Scott or Ted Cruz because they’re Republicans is unbelievably stupid.

More excuses from the pro-gop crowd that wants another excuse to NOT do what they promised they would do.

I wonder what the excuses will be, come January.

Doesn't matter. I'm not a republican or a democrat.

I'll still work to politically destroy liberal republicans and make them unelectable at the primary OR the general election.

And you can't do anything to stop that.

They don’t need us. They got elected by appealing to their constituents. If we move their constituents to the right then they will move to the right. If we abandon them fully then they will move even further left.

So you say “don’t do it, they’ll lie about the shutdown and make us look bad”?

Do you sell white flags to the GOPe?

Go for it, I already know you are a divisive person, and God said ‘warn a divisive man once or twice, then have nothing more to do with him.’

Goodbye.

They will say "Wait until we have the presidency in 2016."

We've seen this before.

When liberal republicans can't get elected because being a liberal republican is a political kiss of death, then the country can begin to heal.

Oh give the hate a break, they don’t even take over Congress until January. Geez, you’ve got full guns blasting and the Pubs haven’t even got a majority in Congress yet. Oh, and there’s that Prez with his pen and phone still there in office. What a bunch of Debby Downers. Go take a shower and cool off.

Gonna BM this post and come back to in in February/March to see what your insipid, clueless and stupid excuse for the GOP ruling class selling out the country is going to be then.

You and those party hacks like you, have not a frigging clue what time it is.

We had a coup dear - the GOP has thrown in with the Marxist Revolutionistas and the jokes on you.

Every time Obama vetoes the bills they should just pass them again the next week. Do it over and over and over.

The American people have spoken, they want this crap stopped. Make it Obama and the Dems that are fighting their will.

You are the one that votes for liberals.

I'm not divisive. I support conservatives. Always have, always will.

I will NEVER support a liberal republican.

We are seeing it already. There is a rash of GOP seminar posters here again already throwing down the tired old scare meme.

Yep. And the true believers that are GOP all the way, and don't realize how liberal the GOP has become.

It's time to flush the liberal republicans out of that party.

If you spent half the time making sure your party was conservative as you do defending liberal republicans, you might see some changes.

Yup, and the main result of exercising that power now by shutting down the government will be lots of news stories about poor Federal workers furloughed at Christmastime and unable to pay for presents for their kids because they aren’t getting paid. We know from past experience how this works. Last years shutdown worked because it ended just as Healthcare.gov was collapsing. Shutting down the government isn’t enough. There needs to be a plan, a workable plan, to politically exploit the shutdown in order to win. And not have that win be pyrric.

I find it very interesting that you GOP Ruling Class Apologists who live for making excuses for the Oligarchy while claiming to be in opposition to Obama and the Democrat Marxists - always give POWER to their talking points, about WHY the GOP cannot oppose this tyranny and work so tirelessly to excuse the leadership for doing exactly what Obama wants them to.

The GOP Leadership is complicit in imposing Obama's agenda, and so are those who would make excuses for them.
