Militant feminism and its constant companions the entitlement mentality and The Tyranny Of Cliches (after Jonah Goldberg) has put men off because men, quite reasonably, do not respond well to being called predators, evil, rapists, etc. by complete strangers.
The greatest mystery of feminism is why heterosexual women in search of a mate and a family would be taken in by a leftist philosophy created out of whole cloth by old maids and lesbians. It’s akin to burning lumber on a bonfire before attempting to build a house with it.
That's certainly a huge factor.
Another one is that American women marinate in feminism so long that most of them are unattractive candidates. (Look at how, for example, men are generally portrayed on television; then compare/contrast that with a man's need/desire for respect from his wife.)
Aside from those, there's the substantial risk of divorce which, thanks to no-fault divorce, can be initiated on a whim.

Well you may be right. They can’t afford to get married or maybe they all have their own jobs and pay their own way in life and don’t feel motivated to get married. But maybe I’m naïve and I just don’t get it but how would watching porn keep you from wanting to get married?

I certainly see no reason to inform the government of a marriage in a two-income marriage so the family gets cranked up into a higher tax bracket (as a group) or the lower-paid spouse has to pay a higher tax rate than she would if married.

Financial reasons are the most likely reason as you say, especially amongst young people. I would also say that the culture does not encourage it any more and liberals cheapen the institution. I think that recent book “Men on Strike” is on target.

Just say it. It’s welfare. They get free bennies not being married.
That and the breakdown of the family through an effort to discourage religion and normal relationships. Since more people are staying single, they're resorting to porn to satisfy their needs.
