The AAA estimates that Americans are now spending $500 million less on gasoline - every day - compared to last spring.
This $500 million puts a lot of other people to work, (or pays down debt, also a good thing) in case you were wondering.
Check Bastiat's "What is seen and what is not seen" for the theory behind what I'm talking about.

I save 15 bucks on a fill up, or people make 700 a day. The math is rather simple.
More people making more income equals more disposable income equals more consumer confidence.
