I don’t know anything about the Panola county sheriff. john champion, the DA is a democrat, as I recall he’s always been able to run unopposed. I’ve never voted for him, in his last election I wrote in Republican Stan Little. hopefully this year john will receive opposition.

At the outset of this case, Alsanai was reported by the Treehouse as claiming to be the owner of the place. Further into the investigation, it became more apparent that Alsanai’s father is actually the owner.
I’ve come to the position that he is involved with illegal activity and is very shady, however as far as Jessica’s murder is concerned, possibly merely concealing something he may know about it.
If you play the video of fire chief Haley describing his encounter with Jessica at the scene (it’s linked within the article on the source webpage), he says the two of them “talked.”
There’s another news report available wherein he is on video saying the same.

Well, here it is:
New and very encouraging information I’ve received from a good source in the last 24 hrs. indicates we may be close to obtaining probable cause and arrests in the case.
It does now appear to have been a gang-rape followed by immolation murder, partly to destroy evidence of the sexual assault.
What you hear on the news is never all the truth even in these situations.
We never even got the news about the couple in East TN who were tortured to death by blacks.
