Dean thinks that Islam is whatever he projects on them.
And is his "brain", anything Not Christian is of course better, more spiritual, even sacred. And it can't possibly be violent because of the characteristics they assign to it!
See, he's a Liberal, Capitol L, he Understands all these things unlike the unwashed rubes who are of course bitter clingers and haters.
So imbued with this True Knowledge, he feels more then qualified to judge what Is and Isn't Islamic.
The fact that no Muslims agree with him is of course irrelevant...he's got it all covered!
I doubt Dean's ever even read the Quran.
