As far as I am aware, no world religion other than Islam worships, and seeks to have its followers emulate, a "prophet" or saint who condoned and demanded the killing of those who mocked or otherwise offended him. Mohamed did. Neither Jesus nor Moses did.

This is an important distinction.

The only reason to kill another who mocks or offends their leader is because you want to control the will of the people through terror and eliminate those who exercise free will. The god of Islam does NOT allow free will.

Christians and Jews believe that God allows free will. People are free to please God or to displease God; the fate of their souls is left to judgment day.

The God of Judeo-Christians is not the god of Islam.

I am very confused.

I hear that the violence of the extremists is not islam.

If this is the case, why the various bans on pigs, pictures of mohammed, anything offensive to muslims?

If muslims are NOT the violent extremists, why the caving?
