We don’t pray the Nicene Creed, but Christians do recite it. It should inform our theology, don’t you think? Maybe that’s why some churches don’t use it? They don’t want their people to be formed by the ancient church’s beliefs.

Are you a Christian?

Just asking - "We don’t pray the Nicene Creed, but Christians do recite it."

I pray it, and the people I know in my parish pray it, as distinguished from reciting it.

The Creed, the Two Great Commandments and the Eucharist are the core of Christianity.

If you think yourself a Christian, you cannot disbelieve in any of those.
