I’m reading “The Silmarillion” to my boys, episodically ... (”You do too like it. It’s full of Vocabulary!”) and a passage recently reminded me of Sarah:

“Then Luthien stood upon the bridge and declared her power: and the spell was loosed that bound stone to stone.” (Page 212 in our paperback.) Luthien defeated Sauron and cast down the fortress he had occupied.
