Would love to see this upheld on a national level. I spend part of the year in a rural area. To amuse myself, I visit local gun shops looking for collectible guns at a fair or bargain price. It irritates me to make a purchase, then have to pay shipping and at least one FFL fee and sometimes two. Of course I still have to pass the background check in my home state. On occasion, I’ve made a purchase, had it shipped 1,000 miles to my home state, passed my background check and taken possession, only to drive the gun back to my seasonal residence on my next visit. If this ruling stands, the next hurdle will be overcoming the restrictions on what guns can be sold to non-residents.
I have had a shop refuse to sell to me “just because”. Frustrating, especially after I thought I had a deal worked out.
It actually turned out for he best. I did more research, and found out it was a good thing I did not make the purchase!
