Indeed. But the right to nascent life is far more than a civil right; it is the definitive universal right.

It may be argued that being recognized as a "civil right" is a demotion and abuses the dignity of the Constitution, which has already spoken, as the supreme law of the land, about what rights come from whom. Doing so declares that God is subordinate to government. It's no victory for humankind.
